Bringing Nursing Research to Life
Our job was to translate the often-complicated academic research into stories that would be accessible and pull at the heart, allowing peers, students, partners, and the public to access it.
What We Delivered
SN Media Services partnered with Redrock Productions, researchers, and the communication team to design and execute a nuanced video series celebrating their most impactful research efforts.
Some key deliverables included:
- Interviews on location with lead researchers, nurses, and participants C
- Cinematic b-roll of labs, classrooms, community clinics, and real-world care settings
- Documentary-style storytelling to portray health equity, access and innovation
Our video helped highlight the school’s national leadership involving chronic illness care, maternal health, health equity, and nursing education.
A Human-Centered Approach to Research Film
Our goal for the production process was to be transparent, honest, and compassionate, not losing sight of the raw and genuine nature of the research we were sharing. Each video ultimately should help people understand the “what” and the “why.”
We focused on:
- Real-world problems that Yale Nursing wants to solve
- The commitment of its researchers and practitioners
- The lives affected by evidence-based ways of care
Whether researching in the lab or working with community partnerships for health, the camera tracked the story wherever it was.
